Countable Noun

Noun VS To be (is, are)

Single noun with to be 'is'

Plural noun with to be 'are' 

 

- chair (is)    - chairs (are)

- book (is)    - books (are)

- pen  (is)     - pens (are)

- Child (is)   - children (are)

- T-shirt (is)  - T-shirts (are)

 

Examples:

- My shoes are black

- My child is a very handsome boy

- Roses are red

- The flowers are beautiful 

- Mom and dad are happy today

- That girl is alone

- Your sister is beautiful 

Uncountable Noun

 All uncountable nouns are with to be 'is'

- air 

- oil

- water

- sugar

- rice

- wind

- fire

- money

- love 

- happiness

- etc. 

Examples: 

- The water is boiled 

- Olive oil is very expensive

- The air is very fresh 

- There is a very huge fire in that office 

- It is the enjoyable wind ever for me

- All the money is given by my father

- Love is happiness

Uncountable Noun

Little : uncountable noun 

Much : uncountable noun

Few    : countable noun

Many : countable noun

Lot     : countable & uncountable
Some : countable & uncountable
Any   : countable & uncountable

Examples:
Little water   = sedikit air
Few people   = beberapa/sedikit orang
Some books  = beberapa buku
Some sugar   = sedikit gula
Many children = Banyak anak-anak
Much love    = Bsnyak kasih sayang
Lot of pancil = banyak penssil
Lot of money = banyak uang
Any pencils  = banyak pensil
Any coffee   = sedikit kopi
