 a half  : Setengah jam 
quarter : 15 menit/seperempat
Minute : Menit
second : Detik
a.m      : Ante meridiam (12 malam-11.59 siang)
p.m      : Post meridiam ( 12 siang-11.59 malam)
Midday: 12.00 pm
midnight: 12.00 a.m
date      : Tanggal/hari
month  : Bulan

  Menanyakan waktu ada dua, yaitu:
Informal :
-What time is it?
-What is the time?
Formal :
-Excuse me, could you tell me the time, please?
-Excuse me, could I see the time, please?

Macam macam waktu
1. British style
     Examples : 

• 12.00  : It is twelve o'clock
• 7.30    : It's a half past seven.
• 10.45  : It is a quarter to seven 
• 8.09    : It is nine past eight 
• 2.44    : It is sixteen to three

2. Other style 
     Example :

• 7.00  : It's seven o'clock 
• 8.30  : It is eight thirty
• 4.15  : It's four fifteen
• 2.45  : It's two fourty-five
• 6.34  : It is six thirty-four
• 9.10  : It is nine ten
